Neon text effect
A neon sign in text: near-white letters, a thin coloured tube around them and a glow in the same colour. Type your title.

What makes the neon look work
Real neon is white-hot in the middle and coloured at the edge, so the letters here stay almost white and the colour lives in the outline and the glow. Coloured letters with a glow look more like a sticker than a sign.
Neon needs a dark background to glow against. The previews switch to black when the text would vanish on paper; your thumbnail should be dark too.
Tips
- Condensed, even-stroke fonts (Bebas Neue, Teko, Oswald) look most like bent glass tubes.
- Change the glow and outline to the same colour: pink, green and orange all work. Different colours look like a mistake.
- Keep neon to short titles. The glow spreads, so long lines blur together at small sizes. Check the size verdict on each font.

The neon effect is drawn from the letters' own shapes, so it works in every script on the site.
