3D text for thumbnails
Solid 3D letters: a yellow-to-orange face, a dark outline and a deep extruded side, tilted for energy. Type your title.

What makes the 3d look work
The 3D look is a solid block behind the letters, built from many copies of the outline shape stacked one pixel at a time. Unlike a soft shadow, it has hard edges, so it still reads at the smallest thumbnail size.
In the Shadow tab, the depth slider sets how thick the block is, and the arrows set which way it falls. A darker version of the letter colour looks most like a real side.
Tips
- Chunky fonts (Luckiest Guy, Titan One, Bowlby One) give the block a solid side. Thin fonts get a stripy side.
- Make the block colour a dark shade of the letters' colour: brown under yellow, dark red under red, navy under blue.
- Tilt is in the Text tab. A slight tilt up feels exciting; straight feels serious.
